Things to do when your dead in Ely, Nv

I didn’t really know what was in store for us when we got here Sunday, I wasn’t really planning anything special I sorta just left it up to Hannah. Well we ended up going to the Ward Charcoal Ovens first. They are giant ovens built in the 1870’s to make charcoal to move to another place. I didn’t fully understand what they were used for. But they sure were neat. All bee hive-e looking. ward_charcoal_ovensip.jpgWe then headed back to Ely, and stopped by some abandon shack. looked like shelter for cows now. Since there was cow crap everywhere. We called it the poop shack. The Ely train station was next on the agenda.  Which now is a historic museum. The train now runs on tourist trips from Ely to the mountains. I wasn’t that impressed, since everyone we talked to about it said “it was a must do item in Ely“ train_station.jpg As for the rest of the night, we ended up watching Jurassic Park in the hotel room. And gambled (I won 15 bucks). Oh, and drinking a lot of 99 cent margaritas.
