Safety in Ocean Park Puerto Rico

While shopping at our local grocery store the other day, I noted this watch tower located directly in the center of the De Diego parking lot. Thinking of stealing something from the grocery store or a car? Think again, you would most likely be seen from this ten foot tall guard post.

Take your thievery elsewhere a sign says attached to the pole underneath.

Reasons to feel safe in Ocean Park, Puerto Rico

  • There are policemen posted on every corner during the day.
  • All windows and doors have bars over the front.
  • The cops will drive down the road at nights most likely on patrol with their lights going.
  • Many businesses have doorbells that you have to ring in order to get inside.
  • Banks only allow you to go in one at a time, Allowing time to read you with the metal detector. Almost worst than going to the airport.
  • Wallgreens is open all nigh, with a guard posted in the parking lot (most likely sleeping) and a guard posted at the front door.

By far this area is very safe and I have never seen any crimes go down. Never seen the cops ever even pull anyone over. There is just a lot of security here.

Wow, that sounds great. It’s good to know because I’m planning a trip for 2 weeks in Ocean Park.
