I am pretty sure I just saw the best mormon movie ever created. Granted it is the only mormon movie I have ever seen but I was pretty much blown away by the goodness of ..
- The sweet “your mom dressed me and she lives back in 1994″ wardrobe
- The plots “plot-holy-ness” (emphasis on hole)
- The amazing acting
I know. It is a low budget local movie. I wasn’t expecting much from Passage to Zarahemia, But it was fun to watch. Even for a non Mormon. The only thing that kinda got to me was the Mormon aspect, but it was miniscule to what I was expecting.
This movie would have been 10x better if they would have added..
- Boobs
- Everything is better with more cursing
- If good ‘ol Mel Gibson would have directed it, more people would have liked it. Then again if Mel Gibson directed it, it wouldn’t have been a Mormon movie.
- More gore
Well I guess I could have just said Mel Gibson and left it at that. He would have added all of those things. Plus make every single scene as dramatic as possible. Oh and the soundtrack was so bad. I guess because the director wrote and sang all the music for it. Just a little ridic..
All this damned cold weather has gotten me in the mood for some mix tape action. Songs that remind me of snow, wind, rain and general cold weather. Download it and let me know what you think. A ten page essay would be nice.

I stopped by PictureLine yesterday to see about getting some Super 8 film for my Kodak xl10. Apparently they don’t make that g160 film anymore. So I had to go with Kodak Ektrachrome black and white reversal film. Which is fine by me.
They didn’t have any in stock so I had to order it. 13 bucks is cheaper than I was expecting.
I checked the Kodak website and according to them, there aren’t any places that process the film in Utah (there are a couple of places I am going to double check with before I send it somewhere else). Otherwise I will have to send it to Colorado or California.
When I heard that Duran Duran came out with a new album, I was jumping for joy. Duran Duran always brings me back to those club days in ‘92 good times. I was expecting only the best from them.
Uh, wtf? They got Timberland to produce it? And Justin Timberlake sings on it? Is it pre req for Justin to be on anything Tim produces? Are they lovers or something?
Timberland/Timberlake is not MSG for the music scene
Seems like a last ditch effort to become cool again. These days to make anything cool, just add a little Timberland/Timberlake to the soup. Granted I love their sound together however, you can’t just add it to anything to make it good.
I sort of feel sorry for Duran Duran. Hopefully this will be their last album, I would hate for them to look like any more of an ass than they already do. If I had a scale from really good to complete sucky-ness. I would rate this one sucky. Retire already Duran.

Everytime I come across new alt country, I get way back into it. Screaming “needs more banjo!” or “where is the twang in this song”. I try to act like I come from the south to understand the music more.
So with that being said, my new favorite is The Everybodyfields. Hailing from Johnson City, Tennessee. Their music is the kind that leaves a lump in your throat. And in a slightly depressing mood (in a good way).
Sam Quinn’s voice really cuts to the heart and has a very different sound. I guess that is what makes them so interesting. His and her voice don’t go together in a way you would expect. But with their powers combined it makes for an interesting sound. At least something different as far as the alt/country sound goes.

You may have noticed the amusement park being built along I-15 called LibertyLand in Lehi. You can’t miss the mini replica up of Mt. Rushmore with one difference, they are all smiling.
Apparently they are going to have miniature golf course, bumper boats and a roller coaster. From what I could tell you will be able to learn while you play mini golf with mini history lessons. And when you hit a hole in one, a mini liberty bell rings.
Sounds like a whole lota mini fun! not..
Dear Santa.
Today I read that in Australia you will no longer be able to say what everyone wants to hear you say “ho, ho, ho”. My grandma just became the queen out there and she is setting some pretty strict rules. She told me the other day ”When santa says ho, ho, ho, it reminds me of that rap music. Soo bad for for your precious little ears” . So again. Santa, I’m sorry my grandma sucks at being queen of Australia.
Your pal,Brikon
P.s. We will miss your ho’s!
I was kidding about my grandma being queen. But its true about the ho ho ho thing. Apparently a santa recruitment training center (or as I like to call it the RCTC) in Australia was teaching them not to say ho, and replace it with ha. Ho could be mixed up with whore. Sounds a little ridiculous to me.
Reminds me of the city in Louisiana that outlawed sagging pants. They even hired some rapper to make a song about how not cool it is to sag ye ‘ol pants.
Village Thai, Lehi UT
When I eat out I really ready to just chill out and drink my beer, converse, and wait for my food. Say you go on a date with someone, generally when you are done with dinner you know if they are interesting or not. But if you don’t get the time to find out, you may never know.

ok, so the service was really fast. The food wasn’t very good. In fact I would say it was the worst Thai food I have ever had. It was over priced and they didn’t give you much of a serving. The noodles were over done and tasted like oatmeal. Oatmeal + Thai =puke.
The waitress seemed to be rushing us the whole time. It felt like she was waiting for us to leave or something. I would recommend not going here for Thai (the Coke tasted pretty good). Better just drive to Salt Lake City.
Although it did have a neat building.
